The interface foundation

PrismBuild interfaces from the essentials.

Prism supplies the layout, drawing, and event systems behind RAMP interfaces. Compose the primitives into components, frameworks, and design systems.

INSIDE PRISM

Prism owns the UI tree, geometry, colors, images, and text layout. It produces drawing instructions that a renderer can consume, keeping the interface independent of its native window and GPU backend. Higher layers such as Pelican UI add their own visual language and application structure.

01

Composable layouts

Arrange content in rows, columns, stacks, and wrapping layouts. Represent optional content and changing UI states with dedicated primitives.

02

Drawing building blocks

Combine shapes, text, raster images, and SVGs. The wgpu_prism renderer brings Prism’s drawing instructions to the GPU.

03

Interaction throughout

Route typed input events and asynchronous changes through the component tree, from individual controls to the whole application.

A CLOSER LOOK

From composition to pixels

Compose a layout, describe what to draw, and respond to events. Prism gives higher-level UI systems the pieces to work with.
